Residential Curbside Recycling Program

Southwest New Brunswick Service Commission introduces curbside recycling to the region starting in September 2018!

The Southwest New Brunswick Service Commission is taking all available precautions to keep our staff and community safe during these changing times, recycling and garbage collection is essential to keeping our communities safe and clean. 

There will be no disruption in collection services at this time. 

Due to current restrictions, we will be delaying our White Goods Collection program, set to begin April 1, 2020.  


In our growing efforts to ensure the safety of our staff and communities, Hemlock Knoll Waste Management Facility has updated its current hours of operation. 

Going forward and until further notice:

Operational Hours will be as follows:
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Saturday – CLOSED


 


The Southwest New Brunswick Service Commission launched residential recycling program in September 2018, replacing the previous system of community bins.
The service saw blue recycling carts delivered to resident's homes, at no charge. This program provides an expansion of recyclables accepted, including more kinds of plastic and tin cans.
The new program is residential only, those with large amounts of recycling such as schools and businesses, need to make arrangements for pick up with private contractors or other means. Recyclables are accepted at Hemlock Knoll Sanitary Landfill at no cost. Accepted Recyclables: Materials NOT Accepted:
